Andrew has been on his new medication, (MeKinist) now for nearly a month with no side effects. We are thankful for that!

He had a fun birthday and enjoyable Easter.  We are grateful he was feeling well for both of those occasions.   Easter this year was such an important reminder for us of the hope we have in Christ.

There were two seizure episodes in March. We decided to add in yet another medication to Andrew's regimen two weeks ago. We are hopeful this will be the piece to getting him back to more consistent normal life.

Andrew started speech therapy a couple months ago to work on some fluency and word-finding issues that got worse after the seizures began.  He is not thrilled  about having another weekly appointment, but he likes the therapist.

He still experiences headaches more frequently, but especially after Jui-Jitsu. This is hard for us all as he absolutely loves this sport, but we don't know how to get him back into it without the after-effect of a headache.  Even when he takes things slowly and takes extra breaks, he still gets a headache. We'd appreciate prayer for figuring this out so he can continue this sport.

Next week Andrew will have his three month MRI check-up. Although it is probably too soon to see if the new medication has any effect on the tumor, we pray there will at least be no evidence of disease progression.

Prayers are also appreciated for an upcoming overnight field trip with Andrew's fourth grade class the third week of April. We pray he would feel great and be able to participate fully.
